I started collecting patches to put a few in frames and put them up on one of the walls in my new home. Pretty
soon I figured I was having fun picking up patches and so I started collecting them.
I am in the process of deciding on which frames to pick up and then how to frame patches from my collection. Collecting
patches has been fun and has given me a chance to learn about other agencies nationwide.
I collect patches from the following agencies: Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, Los Angeles area cities,
California State agencies, all state highway patrols/state police/department of corrections, California school police/public
safety departents, New York City agencies, California Sheriff's Departments, Orange County area agencies, firearms training
unit patches, and special unit patches. I have recently begun a transit police and airport police collection, so if
you can help me out with a few trades it would be very much appreciated. Also, if I think the patch is cool, I will
pick it up just because I can. Yes, thats alot, but hey, its a collection in progress!
For my collection, I really do not pay much attention if a patch is a new style or old style patch. As long as
I have something to represent a particular agency, I am happy. I also tend to publish on this site just a single patch
to represent most agencies...the only times I publish multiple patches is if I collect patches from that particular agency.
