These patches are my subdued patches from various agencies. In most cases, subdued patches are worn by special
units, such as Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT), K9, or air support. Various agencies such as departments of corrections
school police, county sheriff, state police, municipal police departments authorize the use of subdued patches.
Some agencies, such as the New York Police Department and the New York City Department of Corrections, combine SWAT and
search and rescue capabilities within their tactical teams. I collect subdued patches from Los Angeles and Orange County
agencies, state highway patrol/police agencies, state departments of corrections, and whatever agency catches my attention.
